Is your bulletin still worth printing?
After service this Sunday, walk the sanctuary and count the bulletins left on the seats.
That’s part of your answer.
The case for killing it. It’s outdated by Thursday. It costs paper, ink, and volunteer hours every week. Everything in it already lives on your website, your slides, and your app. And almost nobody reads the announcements page.
The case for keeping it. You non-technical members rely on it. Guests don’t have your app or get your weekly email. People like something to hold. And some of them actually use the sermon notes.
Kill it outright and some of your most faithful people quietly feel left behind.
Verdict: Shrink it
You don’t need eight pages. You need one sheet.
Front: a welcome line, the order of worship, and one QR code to a “This Week” page.
Back: sermon notes.
Keep it to three announcements, max. Everything else lives online.
Try this: for the next month, count the leftover bulletins every Sunday. If the pile shrinks along with the bulletin, you got it right.
Until next week,
